After Care Lead

Job Summary

The Extended Care Lead provides supervision and support to staff responsible for students enrolled in the after-school extended care program. The Lead ensures a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for staff while engaging students in age-appropriate activities, assisting with homework, and promoting respectful behavior in line with the mission and values of the school.

Job Responsibilities

Supervise fellow staff and students in the extended care program during after-school hours.
Monitor and assist other Extended Care Staff.
Manage staff in organizing and leading indoor and outdoor activities, games, crafts, and quiet time.
Provide a safe and positive environment.
Monitor and assist staff as they support students with homework, snacks, and personal needs as appropriate.
Maintain accurate sign-in/sign-out procedures and attendance records.
Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, parents, and school staff.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the extended care space.
Assist in setting up and cleaning up daily activities and snacks, as needed.
Follow safety, emergency, and health procedures at all times.
Report incidents, injuries, or disciplinary issues to the School Administration.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework in education or child development preferred.
Experience working with children in a school, daycare, or camp setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be dependable, patient, and energetic.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Part-Time Seasonal Groundskeeper

Job Summary

St. Theodore Catholic Church is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the parish athletic fields. The Groundskeeper is primarily responsible for lining and marking the soccer field, maintaining a clean playing area, and disposing of trash.

This is a very part-time position averaging approximately 3 hours per week, with weekly hours varying based on the soccer field schedule and the need for field lining.

Job Responsibilities

Line and mark the soccer field accurately and according to applicable regulations and field specifications.
Repaint field lines approximately every two weeks during the season to maintain clear, visible markings without requiring complete field measuring each time.
Pick up litter and empty trash bins while completing field maintenance.
Dispose of collected garbage appropriately.

Job Requirements

Reliable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately measure and mark athletic fields.
Ability to safely operate field-lining equipment.
Ability to lift and transport garbage from trash receptacles.
Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working outdoors.
Dependable transportation and the ability to complete assigned duties according to the field schedule.

Job Summary

The Aftercare Aide supports the mission and values of the Catholic school by providing a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled environment for students after regular school hours. The aide assists in supervising students, leading activities, and ensuring that all aftercare procedures are followed in accordance with school and diocesan guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

Supervise students during after-school hours in a safe, positive, and structured setting.

Maintain discipline consistent with school policies and the Christian values of respect and care.

Set up and clean up materials, snacks, and play areas daily.

Job Summary

A Substitute Teacher is responsible for teaching and supervising students in the absence of the regular teacher. They must follow lesson plans, manage classroom behavior, and ensure the safety and well-being of students. The substitute teacher helps maintain continuity in the educational process and may work across various grade levels and subject areas

Job Responsibilities

Classroom Instruction:

Follow the lesson plan provided by the absent teacher or school administration.
Deliver instructional content to students using appropriate materials, tools, and resources.
Adapt lessons and activities as needed to meet the diverse needs of students.

Classroom Management:

Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
Enforce school rules and policies to ensure smooth class operations.
Manage student behavior and address disruptions using appropriate methods.

Student Engagement:

Actively engage students in learning activities to promote participation.
Provide guidance and support to help students understand the material.

Assessments and Feedback:

Monitor student progress and provide feedback according to the lesson plan.
Administer quizzes, tests, and assessments as required.
Submit completed work and any necessary reports to the regular teacher or school administration.

Communication:

Communicate effectively with students, school staff, and administrators.
Report any issues or incidents during the day, such as conflicts or accidents, to the appropriate personnel.

Job Requirements

Education: High school diploma required; a Bachelor's degree in education or a related field preferred.

Licensing/Certification: A teaching certification or substitute teacher permit may be required.
